Jesus and morning coffee
Updated: Sep 17

Everyone loves a "cup of joe" in the mornings which is a great wake me up.
However, the Bible teaches us to start our day with God, emphasizing the importance of beginning each morning in His presence. This practice is rooted in the belief that by dedicating the first moments of our day to communion with the Lord, we align our hearts and minds with His will and purpose for our lives.
The Scriptures remind us that His mercies are new every morning, signifying that each day is a fresh opportunity for grace, forgiveness, and renewal. This concept is beautifully captured in Lamentations 3:22-23, where it states, "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." By reflecting on these words, we can appreciate that every sunrise brings with it the chance to start anew, leaving behind the burdens and struggles of yesterday.
This daily renewal encourages us to approach life with hope and optimism, knowing that God’s compassion is ever-present and unfailing. In practical terms, starting our day with God can take many forms, including prayer, meditation, reading Scripture, or simply taking a moment to express gratitude for the blessings in our lives.
Engaging in these spiritual practices not only strengthens our relationship with God but also sets a positive tone for the day ahead. It allows us to cultivate a mindset of peace and resilience, which can help us navigate the challenges we may encounter.
Dedicating time to God in the morning can serve as a powerful reminder of His sovereignty and love, encouraging us to trust in His plan and guidance throughout the day. As we immerse ourselves in His Word and seek His presence, we become more attuned to His voice, making it easier to discern His direction in our lives. In this way, starting the day with God becomes a foundational habit that enriches our spiritual journey and deepens our faith.
Read some scripture, talk with God and enjoy your "cup of joe"
